Finally we reached the top of Vernal Falls. This gives you a bit of a differnet perspective of the point where the Merced River suddenly drops 317 ft. to the rocks below. Barely visable near the upper left corner of the picture is the point where the river passes under the footbridge we were standing on a few pictures back!
