Welcome to the begining of our 18 mile trek to the peak of Half Dome. Seen here from the southern end of the Yosemite Valley 10 miles away, Half Dome is the rounded peak in the "V" to the left and above Amy's Head. The highest peak in the valley, its a nine mile hike each way with a vertical climb of nearly 5000 feet, by far the most agressive hike we've ever attempted.
