As we make our way up the John Muir Trail, we are treated to many great views of Nevada Falls, and the valley below. As you can tell from this photo, the trail swings out around to the right of the falls, while the Mist Trail goes straight up the left hand side. From this distance its pretty hard to tell how there can be much of a trail at all crammed in between the falls and the peak of Liberty Cap to its left. The full drop of Nevada Falls, seen here is 594 feet. That's two football fields, three Niagra Falls, or four Statues of Liberty!
